SDG Stocktake Report

United Nations Global Compact in cooperation with Accenture

„To the members of the business community of today, I urge you to see that sustainable development is in fact the best business plan of all. That upholding human rights, putting people before quick profit and protecting the planet and its natural gifts are investments in future prosperity for all.“, United Nations Secretary General António Guterres at the opening of the SDG Action Weekend.

The United Nations Global Compact has jointly published the SDG Stocktake Report together with Accenture. More than 2800 business leaders were asked about their SDG Impact.

The report states that to deliver the SDGs by 2030, business must focus on 10 key pathways:

  1. Recommit to the basics

  2. Provide a living wage

  3. Promote gender equality

  4. Innovate responsibility

  5. Accelerate Climate Action

  6. Advance water resilience

  7. Protect & restore nature

  8. Invest in Circularity
